Children's Health

Bec offers advice and guidance for children of all ages ranging from newborn, right up until adolescence and early adulthood. The huge spectrum of conditions and symptoms keeps Bec on her toes, admitting that the desire to see all children thrive at any age, despite their health hurdles, is what drives her to help you find the answers and help you may be lacking.

Parents often accompany their children to their initial appointment feeling overwhelmed, under-supported, unvalidated and unheard. Or simply tired and defeated due to sleepless nights, looking after sick children and trawling the internet for some sort of answers. I hear you, I see you and I completely get it! Conditions can range from simple immune dysfunction once they start day care, kinder or school, to serious, more complicated situations or diagnoses where there may already be a medical treatment rationale in place.  Any chosen medical treatment strategies or protocols are completely respected, Bec will simply work alongside anything you choose to maintain, ensuring safety and respect at all times.

Bec sees families with children anywhere on the autism spectrum to help them all achieve their full health potential. Help managing and overcoming fussy eating, nutritional deficiencies, identifying any potential gut/digestive/microbiome imbalance, mood dysfunction and sleep disturbances. Bec absolutely adores seeing children in clinic and has beautiful, nurturing presence that often helps kids feel more at ease and comfortable in a new, unfamiliar environment, as well as the parents/carers.

Bec supports children managing allergies, food intolerances, digestive and bowel issues, skin and respiratory complaints, largely by working to identify any potential dietary or environmental factors that may be exacerbating or contributing to the symptoms.

Teenagers are another area of joy for Bec in clinic. She loves her role in her local shires’ youth health services team, regularly visiting local schools to facilitate discussion, run cooking workshops and just listen to their struggles and concerns around their health and wellness. Who hasn’t been that lost, unsure, overwhelmed teenager trying to understand their physical and emotional bodies? Attention is often focused on mental health and mood, skin health, nutritional optimisation and menstrual and hormone health.
