Fertility
Firstly, I am sorry if you are reading this on your search to find help falling pregnant. I am sorry it has been hard for you. I am sorry that this doesn’t feel fair. There is nothing like the heartache and yearning that comes with fertility. Feeling like you have no control. Feeling angry, not heard, lost and sad.
Please hear me when I say that there are things you can do that may help you and your body move towards easier conception. Better understanding the terrain and what we may be able to do to compliment this process. Whether you are going solo on this journey, or with your partner, I am here for you. Let me stress to you that there is “nothing wrong with you”, your body is not failing you, it has just lost its way. With specialised fertility and preconception support, whether your aim is to try unaided, or whether you may be deep in the throes of assisted fertility or IVF, there is always a place for good nutrition, stress management, hormone balancing and to aim to achieve optimal egg and sperm health. I have assisted many couples to achieve conception, even in the most difficult and hopeless of situations at times. For preconception starts ideally 3-4 months before you conceive to ensure optimal nutrition, mental health for you and the journey you are about to embark on and knowing the right and appropriate supplementation to compliment this process. There is no one size fits all approach. Fertility barriers can range from hormonal (PCOS, insulin resistance, thyroid dysfunction, lack of ovulation) emotional, physical (scar tissue, adhesions), nutritional depletion and immune dysregulation (auto immune diseases and processes). I routinely work in conjunction with gynaelocogists and IVF specialists.
Ideally, where the situation allows, assessing the fathers’ overall health is vital in ensuring optimal sperm health, general health and mental health.
With further, specialised training and mentoring in fertility and pregnancy, I will step in wherever it is that you need me and compliment any external factors that may already be occurring. I hear you, I will listen and I will advocate for you.
